What documents do I need to rent a car?
You need a valid driver’s license, a credit card in your name, and proof of insurance (if required), a Barbados driving permit.
Who can rent and driver a car?
An authorised driver is a renter/driver must be over the age of 25 years but no more than 80 years and have been a holder of a driver’s license for no less than two years. A renter/driver who is between 75 – 80 years must produce a medical certificate to certify their fitness to operate a motor vehicle from a medical practitioner.
Can I add additional drivers?
Yes. The vehicle may be driven only by an authorised driver. Additional drivers may be added at a fee of $2.50 USD per day, with a maximum charge of $50 USD per additional driver. The renter’s spouse is exempt from additional driver charges.
How can I pay?
Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Credit Cards. We also accept payment in cash (US, Canadian, Sterling and Euros). A pre-authorisation on a credit card is required where payment is made in cash.
Can I extend my rental?
Requests for extension of the hire should be made 24 hours ahead of the return date, while we make every effort to allow extensions they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Does the vehicle have a full tank of petrol?
No. Vehicles are NOT delivered with a FULL tank of petrol and must be returned with a similar level as delivered.
